On April 18, Roma Downey shares with her supporters a preview of episode three of A.D. The Bible Continues that aired the evening of Sunday, April 19. (Each episode is also archived and available after the initial airing on NBC.) She says, “…Once the heart is open, then grace and God moves in and does the rest…the star of the show is the Holy Spirit.” The triune God is the biggest star in Hollywood in movies and television right now for such a time as this.

Dr. Ted Baehr has written that “A.D.: THE BIBLE CONTINUES shows the power of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the lives of the disciples and the Roman world. A.D. is powerful television, powerful art and powerful theology.” Concerning the third episode, he gives a detailed review as to the content and quality of the segment and gives some valuable extra insights concerning the depicted events. Overall, he describes the third episode as “…Very strong, Jesus centered, miracle working, Holy Spirit filled Christian, biblical worldview in contrast to the self-serving humanist authorities in power…”

Many of Roma Downey and Mark Burnett’s supporters and viewers appreciate their attention to Biblical and historical accuracy because many Bible believing viewers are using the series as Bible Study, educational tools, as well as watching as a source of inspiration.

Roma Downey has quoted in daily updates to supporters that her husband Mark Burnett has said, “…We have worshipped with almost all denominations…The global Christian audience….will be in your corner and cheer you along as long as you don’t pander to them…are authentic, and …don’t mess around with their (His) story. Content that tries to disprove Christianity tends to fail, content that alters what Christians believe is “God’s story” tends to fall short, but content that honors that story tends to be well-received. ”

Further, Dr. Ted Baehr has said of biblical, faith-based movies and Hollywood’s making of them that if they are, “…done right, with biblical accuracy, respect and a dramatic, entertaining presentation – along with the right marketing – they can find a huge, rewarding audience…”
