Gay activists have waged a war on Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson in response to his comments that homosexuality is a sin. The proclamation was released in a GQ Magazine interview with the reality TV super star. A&E Networks has indefinitely suspended Robertson in response to the interview.

But groups and individuals from across the nation have rallied their support around Robertson in the aftermath of the controversy.

“America’s long tradition of free and open discussion about important cultural issues is the cornerstone of a healthy society,” Alliance Defending Freedom said in a statement. “This move is more evidence of the one-sided censorship of the cultural and political elites outraged by such a basic teaching. A&E, as a media outlet, should understand better than most the free marketplace of ideas.

The self-appointed speech police rallying behind A&E don’t believe in the free marketplace of ideas and have no tolerance for any beliefs other than their own. Alliance Defending Freedom exists to preserve and protect free speech and to stand against these types of meritless attacks upon freedom.”

Faith Driven Consumer, an organization connecting Christian consumers with faith-compatible companies, has launched the IStandWithPhil.com petition drive, which calls for The A&E Network to immediately reinstate Robertson to its #1 hit show.

The petition site is garnering strong support from Faith Driven Consumers with its call for tolerance, fairness, and respect for differing viewpoints in America’s rainbow of diversity.

“Simply put, Phil Robertson is being censored and punished for quoting the Bible, and A&E’s treatment of him is punitive and highly discriminatory,” said Chris Stone, founder of Faith Driven Consumer.

“Everyday people will not stand for this, they know bullying and violation of religious freedom when they see it. A&E’s actions are censoring Faith Driven Consumers and eliminating them from an entertainment choice that they have overwhelmingly supported.”

The online petition drive cites the A&E network’s “intolerant, discriminatory, and punitive treatment” of the Duck Dynasty star, noting that “A&E’s position, which in your own words is ‘championing’ the gay and lesbian community…excludes the views of Faith Driven Consumers and effectively censors a legitimate viewpoint held by the majority of Americans.”

IStandWithPhil.com calls for respect for the millions of viewers of the show, and demands that the network immediately reinstate Mr. Robertson and “formally apologize to him, his family, and the millions of viewers who tune in every week, stand by him, and share his worldview.”

The complete petition can be seen at IStandWithPhil.com.

This is crazy…someone is asked there opinion and then when they give it they are punished…Wake up Chrisitans, wake up America, do you see day by day our rights and what we believe being taken from us? The Athiests putting up terrible ads and signs saying Jesus has nothing to do with Christmas, prayers removed from our schools, the 10 commandments removed from buildings, yet those who are opposed are given rights to remove such things. The athiests claim there is NO GOD if that is true then why are they offended by someone they believe doesn’t exsist? If you are going to ask my opinion be ready to get it, you don’t have to accept it, but you asked for it. If I ask yours I would expect you to speak what you think as well, and I might not agree, but I’m not going to persecute you…God’s job is the judging part not ours…In the last days we may one day have to give up our lives for what we believe…will you still admit your beliefs after the rooster crows 3 times

I think that Phil is being treated unfairly. Everything that the bible says is true. The only people who took offence of what he said are the ones living in sin. I pray for people in sin, also A& E has lost a viewer. as the bible says…” As for me and my house, we serve the Lord! I completely support Phil & what he said. Shaking my head, so many sinners in the world that are going to hell!

This is for you Phil Robertson!!

No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.

Conservatives and Christians deserve the same respect and consideration as the rest of all the “OFFEND” are claiming, we have to listen to their opinions and how they feel, but we can’t express ourselves for fear of offending them, but they can rub our noses in how we shouldn’t be offended by them or offend them, “GIVE ME A BREAK!!”
The “Family” can be successful on another “NETWORK” and should take the show to another “HOME”.

I don’t claim to be a Bible Scholar, but for too long we Christians sit back and let the world attack our brothers and sisters in Christ. Well I for one am tired of it. Phil Roberson did nothing wrong. He spoke the truth according to the Bible; Gods word it which this nation has gotten so far from. Romans 1:16 states I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. Phil Roberson spoke the truth because he’s not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. He didn’t call any one’s name or speak to any one in particular; so he was wrongfully accused. Christians are not perfect; neither are we standing in judgment of anyone lives. God saved us and delivered us from sin. Some things we still struggle with, but His grace is sufficient for us. God has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (Rom. 1:18-32) states The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19. Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened 22. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools. 23. and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles 24. Therefore God give them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another 25. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen 26. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones 27. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion 28. furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done 29. they have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30. slanderers, God haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; thy disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless, 32. although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things, but also approve of those who practice them. So Phil Roberson was not passing judgment on any one he was just speaking truth. I stand with you my brother!!!
