Mike Wolfe, the reality cast member of the TV show “American Pickers” has a saying that resonates with me. “When you see it, you buy it.” I tried explaining this to my husband David, but he just gave me sort of a zombie stare. But when we were watching the show just the other night, Wolfe repeated his famous line, “When you see it, you buy it.” “See honey,” I explained to my husband, “that’s the way it works.” My husband wasn’t convinced. But that’s okay. As long as I stay within my budget, I’ve got some room to play.
This beautiful lightweight jacket is a perfect for fall. I love the feminine ruffles, the fun shape and the deep pockets. I found it at a little out-of-the-way antique store called Enduring Comforts, in the town of Freestone. The shop has a fantastic collection of antiques plus a great selection of jewelry and accessories. Located between Bodega Bay and Sebastopol, the store is right next door to the landmark Wild Flour Bakery, just off Bodega and Bohemian Highways.
I wasn’t really looking for another jacket, but when I saw it, I fell in love with it. And when I found out it was only $48. dollars, I just couldn’t pass it up. Like Mike Wolfe says…
Love the website! Erica’s recipes, the shopping tips and other articles are fastastic. Where else can you get such lavish photos and content for free? Can hardly wait for the next issue.
This is exactly the kind of jacket I instruct moms to wear for their Fall photo sessions with us. The added texture looks great in pictures. :)
Cute!
