“The Reason” is the 2004 hit single by the modern rock band Hoobastank, off their album The Reason. The song is Hoobastank’s most commercially successful single, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks. It was nominated for the Song of the Year on the 47th Grammy Awards. It was also a transatlantic hit, peaking at #12 in the United Kingdom. The song also featured in the Friends Special episode “The One With All the Other Ones (Part 2)” and the 2009Disney documentary Waking Sleeping Beauty, which documents the rise, the fall and the rebirth of the Walt Disney Feature Animation studio.
