How many times have you heard, “Christianity is not a deeds-based faith”? Kevin Young from Disciple Ephesians 2:8-10 in his first Air1 Devotional. We were not given salvation because we deserve it, but because God loves us. His love covers all things including our deeds to glorify Him. We need to be nothing, do nothing for God because He loves us anyway.

Yes, Kevin, you’ve got most of it right/correct. But ‘one thing’ we do need to do, is BECOME MORE LIKE HIM to be HIS DISCIPLE, that means, WE CANNOT SAY BAD WORDS, or SWEAR – ON PURPOSE, cause THAT keeps us from getting ‘closer’ to GOD. We R NOT free to live as we please, we R here, to GLORIFY HIM, we can’t do that, by living in SIN.
I could quote scripture, etc. but it’s too late, didn’t get enough sleep last eve., but what I said is ‘enough’, for starters. I have been an ‘active’ Discipling Christain for 40 yrs. Active even now, in a Discipling Ministry in an Inner City, etc., but I DO watch my language, etc., cause it ‘matters’ to GOD, WE R to set a right example !!
