Is God Calling YOU to ASCEND?

When God calls, you better answer.   That happened to me a few months ago when Brenda Epperson-Moore and Susan Wehba, called me on the phone. They had an idea for a women’s conference in Los Angeles – The ASCEND Conference (ascendconference.org) – and felt God had sent them to me.

At our first meeting their passion resonated deeply.  It was a similar vision and calling God had placed in my heart for women through a nonprofit organization I co-founded called The Influence Lab (influencelab.com).

Honestly, it was a match made in heaven.  Truthfully, it was more like a fire that had been burning in my heart to unite Christian women globally, and encourage them to step out of their  fear, depression, or whatever was holding them back.

I believe women are meant to live lives that are fulfilled, abundant, and joyous.  That’s why the ASCEND theme for this year’s 2013 one day event is Fearless Joy.

So I signed on as a co-director and speaker at what we believe will be a historic 1^st event in LA.  I too, am walking and holding onto God’s hand and stepping from my “fear” (that of launching a conference of this size and magnitude) and walking in His vision and calling in my heart.

That vision is to see Jesus’s name lifted up globally and see His peace, joy, and transforming power in the hearts of women.

We believe that our speakers have been strategically chosen by God:

Jennifer Rothschild, a brilliant Bible teacher whose sight was taken away, and yet she sees remarkable truth from God’s Word.

Nancy Alcorn, whose ministry to abused and battered women has built secure, Christian homes around the world so they can flourish and find fulfillment.

Deborah Pegues, who left behind a successful Hollywood career and is now inspiring women to live out their lives without fear, stress, anger, and in the beauty of being formed in God’s image and for His purpose.

Plus, a panel of Hollywood professionals who include celebrity daughters, moms, and career women.  They’ll be coming together to share insights, failures, and triumphs of living under the spotlight.
