Everyone agrees that the media has a huge impact on our lives: it shapes the way we think, act and even believe. But these days, much of what is made in Hollywood mocks our Christian values and faith.
Fortunately, the Movieguide Faith and Values Awards are on a mission to change that. At this year’s 22nd annual awards show, family-friendly movies and TV will take the spotlight. The awards given out will thank those in Hollywood who have given us inspirational and uplifting entertainment.
“Many acting awards are given to performances that provide extremely poor role models,” says Dr. Baehr, co-founder of the Awards. “The Grace Awards are different because they honor performances that uplift the human spirit and inspire people to strengthen their relationship with God and Jesus Christ.”
Stars such as Willie and Korie Robertson (Duck Dynasty), Jordan Sparks and AJ Michalka (Grace Unplugged) are making appearances to show their support. You definitely won’t want to miss the emotional performances by Billy Ray Cyrus, and Joni Eareckson Tada, who exclusively performs for us the Oscar-nominated yet disqualified song, “Alone Yet Not Alone”.
Do you want to positively influence the entertainment industry? It’s simple. Watch the Movieguide Faith and Values Awards, airing March 1st at 11am PT on the Reelz Channel! Your support will help remind Hollywood that America values family-friendly movies and faith-based content.
We can make a difference!
