This two-hour event brings to life the epic mini-series, The Bible, as well as The Son of God feature film in both sight and sound. The event features live musical performances from some of today’s most popular Christian artists, paired with footage from the beloved mini-series and feature film created by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.
After a memorable kick-off at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church in California, The Bible: Son of God Tour performed at a total of seventeen venues around the country, averaging 3,200 seats sold per night with a total attendance to date of 54,400.
This unique experience blends immersive video, surround-sound and stunning visual effects complemented by the music of six Dove Award-nominated acts: Francesca Battistelli, Natalie Grant, Meredith Andrews, Chris August, Sidewalk Prophets and Jason Gray. Each artist performs his or her biggest radio hits alongside the chronological telling of the story of Christ in the one–of-a-kind live performance.
The online event is presented in partnership with The Letters, the inspiring story of Mother Teresa, as told through her personal letters. All viewers of this online event will get an exclusive first look at the film, which stars Juliet Stevenson, Academy Award-nominated actor Max Von Sydow, and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Rutger Hauer. The Letters will be in theaters nationwide September 5th.
The Bible: Son of God Tour webcast will premiere on June 3, 2014 at 5:00pm EST at no cost, optimized specifically for individual viewing at home and on mobile devices. After the initial performance date, viewers can choose between three options: A single-day 24-hour ticket for $4.99 for individual use in home or on mobile devices, a two week pass for $19.99, which allows multiple viewings, and a venue ticket for $59.99, which allows viewing during the full two week viewing window using highest resolution files for presentation on large screens.
