What seems impossible for you today?
Do not discount the small glimmer of hope, the tiny shred of evidence that God is building something grand before your very eyes.
It might look impossibly small — maybe about the size of one very small cloud on the backdrop of the unending sky.
But miracles often have very small beginnings.
That’s how it went down for Elijah when he prayed for sorely needed rain. Seven times, Elijah prayed. He had his servant look toward the sea and the sky. Again and again, the servant returned to Elijah: “I didn’t see anything.”
Finally, on the seventh time, the servant reported back: “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”
Soon the sky was filled with clouds, bringing a terrific rain.
Don’t give up. Press in close to Jesus. Pray your heart out and ask a friend to pray with you. And then pray your heart out again. Then, look to the sky, for you might see it there:
the smallest cloud.
Your answer, coming.
Your miracle, building before your very eyes.
