When life suddenly becomes a few shades darker, how do you make sense of it? Where do you put the pain and confusion? When faced with a series of tragic events, JJ Heller and her husband/co-writer, Dave, decided to pull out their songwriting book to process the hurt. The culmination of these songs eventually became their sixth studio album, Loved.
Redemption Lyrics
When the dying’s over
When the last tear falls
When the empty wells overflow
To fill us all
Redemption
We’ll see it with our very own eyes
Very own eyes and we’ll realize
We’re alive for the very first time
The very first time
Burdens we have carried
Melt away like snow
Loved ones gone before us
Welcome us home
Redemption
We’ll see it with our very own eyes
Very own eyes and we’ll realize
We’re alive for the very first time
The very first time
Someday we will remember how to fly
Then we will rise like embers burning bright
Everything broken will be whole again
We are the ransomed
We are the redeemed
We are the bride
And shall forever be
Loved from the start without end
It will not end
Redemption
We’ll see it with our very own eyes
Very own eyes and we’ll realize
We’re alive for the very first time
The very first
Redemption
We’ll see it with our very own eyes
Very own eyes and we’ll realize
We’re alive for the very first time
The very first time

I too am so sorry for your loss Marsha. I’m glad JJ’s music has been a comfort to you. She writes such great words of truth. Just so you know, JJ and her husband Dave will be performing in Santa Rosa on November 8th. It would be a chance to see them and tell them how meaningful their music has been to you!
