Elevation Worship started in the Elevation Church. Pastor Steven Furtick had a vision in starting the band, “people far from God will be raised to life in Christ.” It began in 2006 with a group of eight families. Over several years, that vision still remains the same as the church has grown to different locations. The band out of this church sang “Give Me Faith” in honor of their vision for other people.
