The Star is a family-friendly Christmas movie based on the classic Nativity story – from the perspective of the animals! Zachary Levi (Tangled, Alvin and the Chipmunks) plays Joseph, and Gina Rodriguez (Deepwater Horizon) voices Mary. Together they talk about their experience working on the film, and show us clips of them in the studio.

The Star is the first major faith-based animated film in decades, and features a star-studded cast. The studio clearly put a much effort into the soundtrack, as it includes popular secular musicians such as Mariah Carey and Fifth Harmony, as well as Christian band Casting Crowns.
Sony Animation (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs) and Affirm Films (Heaven is for Real, Miracles from Heaven) brings us the timeless story of Jesus’ birth in an animated film, coming to theaters nationwide November 17th.
