As a Christian and a Fashion Designer, I firmly believe we need to appreciate ourselves by allowing ourselves the opportunity to grow, develop, and find our true sense of purpose in this life. Fashion and style are important parts of a woman’s everyday life. Fashion can communicate a part of ourselves to the outside world that would otherwise remain hidden.
For my first blog I would like to introduce you to a charming collection of handcrafted accessories by my friend Blanca Beroes. Blanca was born in Brazil and is now based in Miami, Florida.
“Designing and creating jewelry is a source of inspiration that allows me to reveal the relationship between the outside world, people, forms, colors, structures, illusions and clichs and the inside world – dreams, thoughts, emotions, desires and wishes,” says Beroes. Here are some of her pieces:

I love handcrafted jewelry because it is made with dedication and passion. Each piece takes between 2 and 3 hours to complete and is a unique work of art! Designers of handcrafted jewelry often think about the special person who will wear each piece.
Blanca Beroes handmade accessories are made with silk thread, wax ends, cooper, silver and brass. Retail prices range from $50. to $220. dollars. They can be purchased at boutiques in South Florida, New York, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Venezuela.
