November 5th – American Minute – Historical Event

Known as "The Conscience of the American Revolution" Mercy Otis Warren was wife of Massachusetts House Speaker James Warren. She and Abigail Adams were two of the most influential women of the Revolutionary War era.

November 1st – American Minute – Bless This House

On NOVEMBER 1, 1800, John Adams became the first U.S. President to move into the White House. "I pray Heaven to bestow the best of blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof."

November 2nd – American Minute – The Newburgh Conspiracy

On NOVEMBER 2, 1783, General George Washington issued his Farewell Orders:"...the unparalleled perseverance of the Armies of the United States, through almost every possible suffering and discouragement for the space of eight long years, was little short of a standing miracle."

October 30th – American Minute – John Adams

John Adams was born OCTOBER 30, 1735. "And without virtue, there can be no political liberty... Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand."
