Apollo 11 blasted off from Cape Kennedy JULY 16, 1969, being the first mission to walk on the moon. “One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” I could think of no better way to acknowledge the enormity of the Apollo 11 experience than by giving thanks to God.”
