Stylish New Reading Glasses

Lookie Lous 2

Grandma or Bono’s girlfriend? A review of a new style of reading glasses, by Fashion Editor Nise Davies.

Finally admitting to myself that I needed reading glasses was a big step. My arm just wasn’t long enough to hold the book so that I could actually read. When I began my search for “fashionable” reading glasses, I was pretty disappointed. Even if they looked good on the rack, they just seemed to make me look like my grandmother when I had them on. Now my grandmother was a beautiful and fabulous woman; I just wasn’t ready to look her age yet!

Another issue I have with traditional reading glasses is that most of them get caught in my hair when I push them back onto my head. I chose to wear the glasses on top of my head when I needed to see further away than to wear them down on my nose. I just don’t like the old-fashioned school teacher look that the readers on the nose creates.

Recently my need for style led me to discover Lookie Lous. They look “cool” rather than “old fashioned”. When I read their promo statement that Lookie Lous would make me look like Bono’s girlfriend rather than my grandmother, I just had to buy a pair!

Lookie Lous come in clear, pink, gray, sand, and black. My favorites are the clear and the pink. Every time I wear Lookie Lous in public, I get lots of interested looks and compliments. The only caution is you must be careful when you put them on. I broke 2 pair. The good news is they come with a 30-day refund policy.
