Memorial Day commemorates those Americans who have died in military service to our country. In Santa Rosa, this day is observed at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
The 40th anniversary of the Avenue of the Flags Memorial Day ceremony was marked by a record turnout. The gathering of people coming out to honor those who have served our country exceeded 500 attendees.
It is a wonderful event for the family and a BBQ is held after the service. I hope I never forget to say Thank You to those who have sacrificed for our country and for our families.
