When I walked into Sur la Table and saw this drop dead gorgeous cast iron cookware I audibly gasped. The ultra deep luscious cabernet color won my heart at first sight.

I love cooking with cast iron for a variety of reasons. First, I love the way I can transport the food right off the stove to the table without any added fuss. Second, the superior heat retention from the extra thick walls of the pot makes slow cooking soups, stews and any one pot meal taste better, no matter what. Third, other cookware can be a beast to clean, but these pots are super easy. It just takes a minute or two and all the mess just melts away.

And most importantly, my mother absolutely cherished her bright orange Le Creuset Round French Ovens and used them for over thirty years. So yes, the heart connection makes it taste better.

The famous French Le Creuset Enameled cookware can be a bit pricy with a 5 1/2 Quart Round running approximately $320.00 dollars. So my heart started racing when I saw the Sur La Table take on the same style pot marked down from the original price of $130.  to only $79.96

The rich elegant burgundy color gives this set a fresh fashion forward look. Just perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. C’est magnifique!
