Grace is an undeserved favor. We cannot do enough to earn God’s gift of grace. We can’t earn His favor or acceptance. It is a gift. It’s an amazing gift. It’s a gift that no one except God Himself could give: grace that opens the floodgates to eternal life!
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Do you want to obtain this gift from God? Read on to discover how to receive God’s gift of grace that was purchased by Jesus with His invaluable sacrifice.
The bible contrasts the sin of Adam and its deadly consequences for mankind with the gift of Jesus and its redeeming benefits to mankind.
…For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!…The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in the life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:15-19).
