How do you use fashion to share your passion?
What is FASHION? To some of us, it’s just one of the ways we use our creativity to show the world who we are or how we are feeling that day. For some people, like Courageous film star, Ben Davies, fashion is a way he shows his support for a cause he is passionate about.
Most days Ben rocks a black leather bracelet. If you look closely you can see he’s wearing that same bracelet during several TV interviews for the opening of Courageous and even in the opening scenes for the new music video he stars in.
Yes bands and bracelets look good and are a fashion trend for both males and females, but it’s the white lettering on the leather band that matters most to this college student and rising film star.
When asked why he wears this black and white band instead of the thousands of other choices available, Ben responds, “I wrote a college paper last year on sex trafficking. It’s a huge problem in America and most people have no idea it even exists in here in the US. It’s cool that I can wear a leather band that brings awareness to the issue.” Now that’s what I call Fashion with a Passion.

I’m doing the Fierceness to Lead fashion show to raise money and awareness to the sex trade in Atlanta! Until the fall of 2011, I had no idea this even existed. People must know about this and work to be the solution to end it. P.S. Where can those bracelets be purchased?
Hi Samantha, wow that sounds so awesome! We would love to hear more about your project and write about what you are doing! Please email me the details!
Hi, Erica! Thank you so much! That’s awesome! What is your email and I will gladly send you what I’m working on!
I would also like to know where the bracelets can be purchased. Thank you.
