How can faith survive? How can it survive when everything seems to be going wrong, when everything seems out of control?

“Everything can change in an instant and you’re fighting for your life.” Pastor Matt Chandler of The Village Church in Texas shares intimately about his life-threatening brain tumor and how it affected his prayers and his faith. “He can. He will. And even if He doesn’t…” Share your thoughts.

Matt Chandler is a well-respected preacher, with a large following. In this interview, he answers a lot of questions.

One thing he reminds listeners of is the story of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego. They were threatened to be thrown in the fiery furnace if they did not reject God by bowing down to a statue. Their response was that they believe God can save them, they believe that God will save them, but even if He doesn’t, they still won’t recant.

Similarly, Chandler said that he knows God can save him, he believes God will save him, but even if he doesn’t… if God decides to heal him, then he’ll go on working for God’s kingdom, but if God doesn’t decide to heal him, that’s even better.

How do you deal with hardships?

Even when you can’t see God moving in your life, trust that He is there. He will never abandon you!
