According to popular belief, the life of a teenager is fabulous. Wild parties, flashy clothes, shiny gear—the whole decade is basically a vacation from responsibility. But God has something more in mind. Our youth is a launch pad into His mission for our life. When we reset our expectations for our time as teenagers, we will accomplish things for God that are far more fabulous than we could imagine.

This hard-hitting video series is brought to you by Alex & Brett Harris, authors of Do Hard Things and the creators of TheRebelution.com. With over 35 million hits to their website, Alex and Brett Harris are leading the charge in a growing movement of Christian young people who are rebelling against the low expectations of their culture by choosing to “do hard things” for the glory of God. Written when they were 18 years old, Do Hard Things is the Harris twins’ revolutionary message in its purest and most compelling form, giving readers a tangible glimpse of what is possible for teens who actively resist cultural lies that limit their potential.

Created in partnership with LifeChurch.tv and SWITCH.

Alex and Brett Harris are still at it today (this video was made in 2010). Recently, they launched a writers workshop to help teenagers reach their writing goals.

A whole new perspective on why “they” are like they are. So insightful & so very sad. And so true! How come no one has figured this out before? This has been done to them as a culture, and it’s almost impossible for the individual parent to counteract this tragedy.

We used to call it self-fullfilling prophecy, the principles of expectation, expect little & that’s exactly what you will get, dumbing down the schools, teaching to the lowest common denominator, handing out social support rather than expecting something in return. I will share & encourage everyone to do the same.

Alex & Brett, I pray you will continue to do your work and re-enegize our youth, instill confidence in our parents, raise the bar & develop a generation who can overcome the shackles a well intending society put on them.

    God bless!
