I am asked every day where I come up with the details I use in the French style homes that I do. I thought it might be interesting to share with you a few photos of where I was last week. I had two different clients with me searching for just the perfect items for their homes in Paris. This is the famous Paris flea market.

There are hundreds of ideas in each space, but you have to study the approach to the displays and figure out how to incorporate them in another setting.

An unbelievable 18th century Terra Cotta figurine. Can you believe things like this are still available?

Every space is different and has a mix of time periods. I should mention these are one of a kind pieces, not reproductions.

Some of the French get to relax in their own favorite chair even at the bustling market.

Last but not least, the dining room ceiling in my hotel. Now you have a inside glimpse of where I get my inspirations.

Thank you for the photo of the 18th century French terra cotta statue. I miss visiting the Paris Life exhibit at Getty Center museum so it was a treat to see this blog post. I am doing an educational report on vintage French chairs this summer
