EchoLight Studios, led by CEO Rick Santorum, has partnered for the first time with the Hallmark Channel to premiere its newest film, The Redemption of Henry Myers. Debuting on the Hallmark Channel March 23, 7 p.m. PST, the movie challenges viewers with the question, “Can a person really change his ways?”

“‘The Redemption of Henry Myers’ is an inspiring story that proves no matter how far you fall from grace, God is willing and able to forgive you,” said Rick Santorum, Executive Producer and CEO of Dallas area-based EchoLight Studios, distributors of the film.

“The mercy and forgiveness that Marilyn and her children show towards Henry help him realize that he was redeemable. In a world where so many are hurting and don’t think of themselves as valuable, this film shares an important message of hope.”

Directed by Clayton Miller, The Redemption of Henry Myers is about Henry Myers (Drew Waters from Breaking BadFriday Night LightsThe Hit List) who lives a hard life, getting by on the frontier however he can… even if it means robbing a bank.

After his latest heist goes wrong and his outlaw friends betray him and leave him for dead, Henry is surprised to find extraordinary kindness from a widow named Marilyn (Erin Bethea from FireproofFacing The GiantsLetters to God) and her children.

Under the influence of this family, Henry begins to question the choices he’s made. Just when things begin to make sense again, it’s all ripped away from him when his old gang shows up. What enfolds is a struggle between seeking the revenge he desires or finally finding his redemption.

“No matter who you are, we have all fallen short and made choices in our lives that are less then perfect,” said James Barnes, Director of Marketing at EchoLight Studios. “Though most of us haven’t robbed a bank or shot someone in a shootout, The Redemption of Henry Myers gives us hope that no matter what we have done, we can be redeemed.

The Redemption of Henry Myers has already received favorable reviews. The Dove Foundation gave the movie five out of five doves and said, “This is a terrific movie with a twist, great action, and the theme of redemption.”

Following its March 23rd premiere on the Hallmark Channel, The Redemption of Henry Myers will be available on DVD in stores nationwide June 10.

“The story of Henry is in many ways a picture of the story of all of us,” said Chad Gundersen, producer on the film. “We want to show how God can and will change us if we allow him to infiltrate our lives and change the very core of our being. We’re excited about the film getting a chance to bring this message to a broader audience.”
