It was an extraordinary evening on Thursday, January 29, 2015, when the Hollywood Prayer Network hosted “HOLLYWOOD HONORS 2015” at CBS TV in Studio City, California to honor Christians who have served as trailblazers and mentors in the entertainment industry.
The packed star-studded gathering attended by many believers who have been highly successful in Hollywood over the past 40 years, included Pat Boone, Gavin MacLeod, Wink Martindale, Ken Wales, Rosey Grier, and veteran stuntman, Bob Yerkes, all of whom I interviewed and will release their stories very soon.

This honorary celebration joined mentors and mentees in prayer and fellowship to encourage one another in the body of believers in Hollywood. The younger generation of Christians in Hollywood honored and prayed for the trailblazers who came before them and lived lives of integrity and faith while being successful as film, TV and music professionals.
“At our HOLLYWOOD HONORS 2015 event we recognized the faithfulness of the mentors, while inspiring the mentees to seek God’s work for them in Hollywood,” says Karen Covell, founder and the head of the Hollywood Prayer Network. “I’m thrilled that these trailblazing Christians will help commission the next generation of successful entertainment professionals of integrity, honor, respect and impact.”
After it was all over, Karen Covell told to her supporters, “Thank you, for making last night a highlight night in Hollywood. God was moving so mightily through all of you that I was blown away by the powerful, the love, and the beauty of every word that was spoken, every food item, every light and decoration and every heart in that room!

“Honorees, your stories, your hearts, your personalities, and your love were better than we even prayed for – Every one of you was POWERFUL and PERFECT! From 20 year olds coming up to me crying (literally 4 young people came up crying and thanking me for having you there as inspirations and role models!)”
She added, “Than you for being there, for being vulnerable and for lifting up the Lord in your lives. Everyone was also moved by you gentlemen who showed your love for your spouses! That’s God working in our industry in a way that people had NEVER seen before!”

Each prayer partner is directly connected with a Christian who is working in the film and television industry.
