In the second century A.D., a young slave girl named Anna is rescued and adopted by a Christian family from Smyrna. With the help of their bishop, Polycarp, they teach her of a God who loves her and who died for her. But when the Roman government declares Caesar to be a god, their faith becomes a crime overnight. Will Polycarp and his people take the easy way out, or will they stand up for their beliefs? And will Anna hold on to her newfound faith, or will a storm of persecution steal it away?
Starring Gary Nation, Rusty Martin Jr., and Rich Swingle, Polycarp tells the true tale of a man who gave his life to be a witness for Jesus. Church screenings of this film begin February 23, and the DVD will be available May 5.
