Are you going to do something about this?
You know. The pachyderm. The big fella. He’s really holding you back and we love you too much to not get in your face about it.
It’s the spinach between your teeth, the toilet paper hanging off the back of your shoe, the “kick me” sign on your back
You know it. God knows it.
You’re deceived if you think you’re hiding it from us. Everyone knows.
It’s obvious.
It’s The Elephant in Your Room.
It’s affecting your relationship with God. Your relationship with others. It’s a stumbling block, keeping you from progressing on your spiritual journey.
It’s The Elephant in Your Room.
Do yourself a favor. Do us all a favor.
Be that Man of God, that Woman of Faith and get rid of the elephant. Lay it down at the foot of the cross.
These elephants come in many different breeds. Pornography. Infidelity. Lust. Drinking. Drugs. Gambling. Lying. Gossip. Arrogance. Anger. Unforgiveness. Selfishness. Laziness. Jealousy. Envy.
This particular one is yours. So own up to it.
And then get rid of it. Before it does any more damage to you and those around you.
Start today. Right now. Pray about it. Tell someone else you’re going to make a change in your life. Insist they hold you to accountability.
What? Which elephant? There’s more than one?
I know exactly how you feel. I’m working on a few myself. Okay, perhaps mine is more of a small herd.
Start with the largest one. And just send him on his way, never to return. He’s got thick skin. He won’t be missed.
You’ll be so blessed. No more giant piles of guilt. The room will smell so much nicer. The weight will be off your shoulders.
Most importantly, there will be room in your room for God.
