Brandon Burlsworth is considered to be one of the greatest walk-ons in collegiate football history. However, his claim to fame did not come easily.
Fighting to turn his dream of playing on the Arkansas Razorbacks football team into a reality, Burlsworth was met with criticizing comments regarding his weight and height.
Using his flaws to drive his determination, Burlsworth turns to his faith and became the first Razorback football player to earn a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree while playing on the team.
However, Burlsworth’s story came to a tragic end as he was killed eleven days after being drafted into the NFL, leaving many to ask, “why do bad things happen to good people?”
