PBS provides some of the best TV programming that is entertaining, educational, and edifying for all ages. On March 2, Ideastream announces some interesting PBS TV programs for today and the rest of the work week on its local channel: NOVA: First Man on the Moon , new music from Ireland’s Celtic Woman, and Rick Steves’ Special: Israelis and Palestinians Today .
Also, PBS announces on March 2 its premiere tonight of A Year in Space that covers astronaut Scott Kelly’s record-breaking 12-month mission on the International Space Station, from launch to landing. NASA charts the effects of long-duration spaceflight by comparing him to his identical twin on Earth, astronaut Mark Kelly.

PBS (Public Broadcasting Service ) provides some of the best of TV programming for all ages with the best of cinematography, music, and performance. Their programming includes the following and more: Masterpiece (some of the best historical dramas), American Experience (some of the best documentary films, such as Jackie Robsinson premiering in April), American Masters, PBS Kids, PBS Parents, Great Performances, National Parks, Pioneers of Television, and Live from Lincoln Center. PBS local affiliates also add rich regional programming. Viewers need to check their local PBS stations for listings of national and regional PBS programs.
PBS, as well, provides educational services on TeacherLine that include courses with graduate credit. Teacher Line Southeast states that they, “… provides online solutions for teacher professional development in SC, NC, and GA, offering online courses from PBS TeacherLine, the award-winning and premier research and standards-based resource for PreK-12 educators!” Further, the PBS Learning Media in 2016 also provides educators with practical tips, tactics and digital tools to help them navigate the digital age of learning.

PBS provides some of the best TV programming that is entertaining, educational, and edifying. Their programming can be viewed on TV, via streaming, and on DVDs. As always, those interested in PBS programming need to seek specific information about programs to determine what is most appropriate with simple searches online. Don’t settle for programming that is entertaining but degrading. Hold out and settle for programming that is entertaining and worthwhile.
