A new faith-based movie ‘HeavenQuest: A Pilgrim’s Progress’ is in production and expected to hit theaters in 2019!

WP Films is a Christian film company that is known for its acclaimed documentaries, including Holy Ghost and Holy Ghost Reborn. In 2015, the company took a leap of faith and launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new feature film based on Pilgrim’s Progress book by John Bunyan. While they raised over $180,000 for the project, it ultimately fell short of their goal, and therefore they did not receive the funds necessary to make the movie.

However, the producers didn’t give up! Instead, they partnered with a separate company and continued their dream of making a prequel to Pilgrim’s Progress! After a news drought, the creators are finally showing fans glimpses of the filming process, which began in July of this year. The first poster was also revealed recently. The movie is entitled HeavenQuest: A Pilgrim’s Progress, and is set to be released digitally this Octover. It will be an epic, sweeping faith-based tale.

With shows like Game of Thrones growing in popularity, it is exciting to see a director who loves the Lord creating a family-friendly fantasy movie!

HeavenQuest: A Pilgrim’s Progress is directed by Matt Bilen, and stars Alan Powell (The Song), Peta Sergeant, and Patrick Thompson.
