Family-friendly movies in June continue to be at the top of the charts. On June 18, Box Office Mojo reported that Finding Dory (PG-all ages) is the top box office movie and that Jungle Book (PG-older children-adults) and Zootopia (PG-older children-adults) continue to do well at the box office. These movies are top family picks for quality and content in theaters for the fourth week of June.
On June 18, Billy Graham said in The Christian Times to parents that children are “deeply influenced by TV and movies.” He advises parents to protect their children from the effects of the TV shows and movies they watch. Graham stated, “The media has a great impact on young people, and parents should not overlook this fact.”
Movieguide.org provides some of the best reviews for quality and content for movies in theaters. There are always many movies in theaters for which caution is advised for language, violence, inappropriate behaviors and more, even movies that may look okay for youth and families. It is critical to study good reviews to determine suitability.
