‘The Resurrection of Gavin Stone’ is now available o DVD, VOD, and Blu-Ray!
A washed-up former child star, forced to do community service at a local megachurch, pretends to be Christian to land the part of Jesus in their annual Passion Play, only to discover that the most important role of his life is far from Hollywood.
The Resurrection of Gavin Stone made $2.3 million on a budget of about $2 million. Hopefully, the DVD release will bring in some profits, after the film did moderately well in theaters.
The film is very family-friendly. It does not include any profanity and almost no violence. On the other hand, the movie does display the theme of forgiveness, and what it means to be a genuine Christian.
Also, The Resurrection of Gavin Stone pokes fun at some of the things Christians do in a light-hearted manner. At times the film will have you laughing at yourself! Overall, it’s a witty movie with a great message for Christians and non-Christians alike.
