The first season of The Crown acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. Now, fans eagerly await the release of ‘The Crown Season 2, which is expected to arrive sometime in November of 2017.

The first season of The Crown was set at a time when Great Britain was recovering from an era of war, and her empire was losing power. During this time, Queen Elizabeth took the throne. However, to her, it was solely a matter of duty, not of desire.

The Crown is Netflix’s most expensive series so far, with the first season reportedly costing over $130 million. However, it has used the large budget beautifully. The series accurately portrays the lavish lifestyle of the royal family at the time and features well-known actors and actresses. These include Claire Foy, who’s starred in many TV series, and Matt Smith (Dr. Who, Terminator). The monetary risk has evidently paid off, with a coveted 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

While the first season focused on the period between the Queen Elizabeth’s marriage to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh to the abrupt end to Princess Margaret’s engagement to Peter Townsend, Season 2 is expected to focus on the events afterward. It will most likely follow Elizabeth’s story from 1957 to around 1964. For this reason, viewers are hoping for the births of Princes Andrew and Edward.

The Crown is family friendly for the most part, but there are some exceptions. I recommend you to check out the Plugged In rating of the first season. It gives a pretty good picture of what viewers can expect for Season 2.
