What if we pursued God a fraction of how He pursues us? He’s in the rain, the trees, the air we breathe; but how often do we acknowledge Him? Switchfoot poses situations in which God pursues us and reveals Himself in our lives. He patiently waits for your love, for your worship, for you to lay your burdens at His feet. And He will wait as long as it takes for you to realize His true glory.
Restless comes from Switchfoot’s album Vice Verses. The song made its first debut as an EP then was later announced to be apart of the album. Vice Verses features songs about “the world” as Jon Foreman, lead singer and rhythm guitarist, puts it. He says, “I write songs about the world around me; things I don’t understand.” This is how he came up with Restless because he doesn’t understand how God could possibly pursue him no matter what he does in life; God will always love him.
