They say one size fits all but that doesn’t happen in the educational arena very often. One program that does most often is “Spelling Power,” by Beverly Adams-Gordon. It is a 15 minute per day program, working on 5000 of the most frequently used words. After giving your child a placement test, you test your children daily using the strategies outlined in the book and you will see great improvement in your childs spelling given some time.
It is one of the only spelling program that works for all ages. It was published in 1993 and is in it’s fourth edition. I rate “Spelling Power” as the best spelling program for a family.
