September 29th, national music recording artist, Jimmy Needham, came to Spring Hills Community Church in Santa Rosa, California to put on a benefit concert for a local non-profit ministry appropriately named, LoveManifest.

Jimmy Needham and his bassist, Blake Samperi, quietly stepped onto the stage in the blackened room.  The crowd was silent, expectant for the first chord to strum its way into every corner of the place.  And as soon as it did, each soul was left with no choice but to be carried away by each beautiful lyric and melody.

People of all ages came for a revival of the heart.  And I don’t believe one person drove home that night without a reignited, burning fire for Him.  Even to the very young, the music spoke… And it spoke loud.

Each note, every instrument, was played with deliberate passion and intensity.  There is no doubt that Jimmy’s purpose there was to use his talents solely to greater His kingdom.

He shared words about his past, his struggles, and his hang ups to every ear that would hear.  Then he spoke truth, the amazing Truth, about God’s love, faithfulness, and rescue for anyone open to receive it.  Lives connected as one during his prayer that night.

He reminded us that we are loved…  And forgiven…

If you are ever given the opportunity to see Jimmy Needham live, don’t let it pass.  You will be blessed by his art, challenged by his words, and convicted by his music.  Then you will leave impassioned.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a people for His own possession,
that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him
who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9
