“This is a film made by Christians to get people thinking,” says award-winning filmmaker Mark Volkers. “We hope it is an eye-opening look at global poverty . . . We ignore this social powder keg at our own peril.”

Winner of several prestigious film festivals, The Fourth World takes you into slums around the world to see them for yourself and to meet the people who live there. By encountering individuals with names and personalities, it becomes harder to stereotype slum dwellers; to lump them all into a nameless, faceless statistic.

Flannery O’Conner said “The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.” Intense, grinding poverty is not a pretty thing and the world ignores the message of this film at its own peril.
