In a day when many have not grown up in homes where the Bible is believed, and the Bible is rarely taught in schools, many today know very little – if anything – about the Biblical accounts and characters. A.D. is based accurately on the Biblical accounts and dramatically fills in the story with how these events may have developed and happened according the best histories of the time. A.D. is accurate in its picturization of history with realistic costumes, make-up, sets and more.

On May 15, having privately screened A.D. Episode 7, thanks to NBC, this writer attests that the tension and contrast between good and evil mounts and intensifies. The evil forces are unraveling and continuing to spiral downward. Despite the escalating brutality of the evil forces; the good in the calm, faithful, loving disciples and in the power of God’s Spirit is prevailing and overcoming the evil.

Roma Downey shares with her supporters insights to prepare for Episode Seven of A.D.  She tells that “A.D. The Bible Continues is returning to NBC this Sunday with its seventh episode, and will continue to focus on the book of Acts and the spread of Christianity through the witness of the apostles despite ongoing persecution from the Roman authorities….” She shares an article from the Gospel Herald that previews the plot for the episode and which also states the following, “…A.D. The Bible Continues has earned high praise from both secular and Christian audiences for its diverse cast, Biblical accuracy, and impressive cinematography. The Christian consumer group Faith Driven Consumer has given the Bible-based series an impressive 4.5 out of 5 stars, a strong indication the show resounds with faith-based audiences.”

The article goes on to quote Downey about the show’s massive success, “People are hungry for stories of faith. People are hungry for hope…They’re hungry for connection to each other, a connection to God. The Bible is such a wealth of stories. It has all the ingredients. It’s exciting, and it’s alive.”

A.D. The Bible Continues” staff share with supporters a sneak peek video for Episode Seven of A.D. and more insights about the upcoming episode. These are just some of auxiliary sources for extra insights, sneak peek videos, and teaching on the Biblical account covered in A.D. The Bible Continues.

A.D. The Bible Continues, is compelling viewers to read the Bible for themselves like the Bereans of Acts 17 who, “… received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. ” Viewers are also finding great benefit in listening to the rich verse by verse teaching of Dr. Jeremiah that corresponds with each episode and by accessing the many other supplemental educational materials that are available with the series.

Further, educators at all levels and in all educational institutions should consider the importance of including the Bible in literary, historical courses and more. No book has more profoundly influenced classical literature and arts than the Bible.  It is a tragedy on many levels and for many reasons when people know nothing or little about the Bible. In prevents correct understanding of classical literature and arts that has been influenced by the Bible and much more. A.D. is also a good resource for historical studies of the First Century.
