A.D. The Bible Continues Executive Producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett have been overwhelmed by audience and industry reaction. “We are humbled that the A.D. series has had such a tremendous impact on viewers and are grateful for this wonderful honor from the K-LOVE fans,” says Downey.
A.D. The Bible Continues airs Sunday evenings at 9/8c on NBC and features an uplifting and harrowing journey through the beginning moments of the birth of the church picking up where the smash hit, The Bible, left off. It follows the first ten chapters of the Book of Acts exploring the aftermath of Christ’s death and its profound impact on his disciples, his mother Mary, and key political and religious leaders of the era, an impact that would completely change the world.
The series includes compelling context around the Biblical text, focusing initially on the Book of Acts while integrating dramatic history to help tell the full story of the people (Apostles, Pontius Pilate, Caiaphas, Herod Antipas, and others) and their era. Each episode aims to bring the Biblical world to life in all of its grit and glory.
The K-LOVE Fan Awards mission is to create a fan experience that celebrates and promotes artists, athletes, authors and entertainers who, with excellence, engage and impact popular culture for Jesus Christ. This year’s show was sponsored by Pepsi and hosted by FOX & Friends’ Elisabeth Hasselbeck and actor Kirk Cameron. Previous hosts for the event include Phil & Kay Robertson and Jase & Missy Robertson from A&E TV’s popular show Duck Dynasty, Candace Cameron Bure and Matthew West.
