Among America’s best exports is streaming of the best artistic performances around the world. On December 11, The Kennedy Center presents a live, free, streamed, as well as filmed holiday concert. For the holidays, “Zvjezdice” lights the way in a magical night of Croatian and Central European choral music! This concert, under the baton of Maestro Zdravko Šljivac, is given by the renowned Croatian Girls’ Choir and is accompanied by Croatia’s premier harpist, Dijana Grubisic Cikovic. It also features soprano Antonia Dunjko.

The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. provides beautiful performance gifts by the best of artists to the local community and to the world with free daily entertainment that is live-streamed around the world. The Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts houses performing arts facilities for the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington National Opera, and the Susan Farrell Ballet. The Kennedy Center provides many free live broadcasts of performing arts events to the globe through live streaming to screens around the world, especially from its Millennium Stage. Archived, filmed videos of the performances can be found on Kennedy Center.org.

Free daily performances with no tickets required that are also live streamed and archived as filmed videos from the Millennium Stage for the rest of December include renowned artists from around the world for audiences of all ages and ethnicities. On December 12, The Millennium Stage presents “A Salute to Sinatra,” On the day of Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday, musicians and singers from the D.C. will celebrate the life and times of “Ol’ Blue Eyes.”  For December 13, the acclaimed chamber ensemble QuinTango performs traditional tangos with Argentine bandoneonist Emmanuel Trifilio. The quintet is composed of two violins, cello, bass, and piano. For those in the D.C. area tango dance lessons are available before the concert.

On December 14 on the Millennium Stage, the band Les Rhinocéros performs a blend of the following: rock, world music, noise, ambient and jazz. For December 15, The SYC Ensemble Singers present a choral concert from the modern, globalized, Asian city-state of Singapore. In celebration of Singapore’s golden jubilee, the performance will showcase works by Singaporean composers. For December 16, MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS!, on marks the 42nd anniversary is scheduled to perform traditional Christmas music with hundreds of tuba, sousaphone, and euphonium players from around Washington, D.C.

On December 17, Coral Cantigas will sing a spirited array of songs that celebrate the diverse Christmas traditions from Latin America that include the Caribbean Christmas parranda, the Mexican posada, and the traditional Epiphany celebration (or Three Kings Day). For December 18, Qais Essar, international artist, composer, producer, and practitioner of classical, traditional, and western music will perform music and stories of life living as an Afghan refugee in America. On December 19, the U.S. Army Chorus presents Home for the Holidays! This group is one of the nation’s only professional men’s choruses. The United States Army Chorus celebrates the season and salutes our troops with holiday favorites for the entire family.

America continues to give exquisite gifts to the world of free, live, streamed, as well as filmed performances by the best artists from around the globe. Through modern technologies that are increasingly more available throughout the world, America continues as a Light on a Hill, shining beauty, freedom, and hope.
