Animals continue to wins hearts of audiences in some of the top family movies through mid-June.
On June 16, Box Office Mojo reported that “Jungle Book” (PG-older children-adults) is still doing well at the box office. It continues as one of the best choices for families. Fandango also reports that other top pick family movies are still in theaters: “Zootopia” (PG-older children-adults), “Ratchet and Clank” (PG- all ages),“God’s Not Dead 2” (PG- all ages), and “Miracles From Heaven” (PG- all ages). These movies continue as top family and redemptive picks for quality and content in theaters through the second week of June. They are family, redemptive, feel-good movies.

There are many movies in theaters this week for which caution is advised for language, violence, inappropriate behaviors and more. See for the best reviews for quality and content and to find the most suitable movies. Also note that this summer there are many free, good, family movies in local parks. The best summer movie in theaters will be “Ben-Hur.”

This summer there are many promising movies coming to theaters such as: “I’m Not Ashamed,” “BFG,” “The Secret Life of Pets,” “Star Trek Beyond” and “Ben-Hur.” Many other promising movies in development for theaters include: “Left Behind 2,” “Full of Grace,” “Do You Believe 2,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew,” “Ten Commandments,” “King David,” “Apostle Paul” (with Hugh Jackman), “Pontius Pilate,” “Butterfly Circus,” “The Adventures of Tintin 2,” “Touchdown on the Tundra,” “Wanted,” “The Passion of the Christ 2,” a slate of HD Texas movies and more.

Disney has many family, classic, live-action remakes in development: “Beauty and the Beast,” “Mary Poppins Returns,” “Aladdin,” “Mulan,” “Dumbo,” “Winnie-the-Pooh,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Pinocchio,” “Fantasia,” “Tinker Bell,” “Chip ‘n Dale” and more.
