God, granting us forgiveness through faith, will declare not guilty (justified) all who believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for theirs sins:

Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ, our Lord, has done for us (Romans 5:1).

God is asking you to respond in faith so you can experience His grace and forgiveness to save your soul from suffering forever. What does this faith look like in real life?

I remember when I was a child in Egypt, I would occasionally get into trouble. My father owned the building where his legal practice was located. On the ground floor was his office and we lived upstairs. Many times I invited my friends to play soccer in the hallway outside his office. It was only a short matter of time before our soccer ball broke a light bulb. Another time, it hit one of my father’s clients. Sometimes the ball would hit the glass door of his office.

These disturbances, along with the loud, joyful yelling and screaming, often interrupted his business conversations. Soon afterward, my father would come home with that certain look and I knew I was in trouble So I would run to my mother crying and trusting that through her protection and love, I would be safe and forgiven. Although my father was angry, when he saw my mother’s beautiful face and my repentant heart, often times he let me go unpunished.

Other times, my strong, big mother would gather me in her arms and shield me. When my father tried to spank me, his newspaper, belt, or hand would fall on her instead of me.

These memories always remind me of the time I ran to Jesus and put my trust in Him. It was then that I truly experienced God’s forgiveness. Jesus covered me with His righteousness and shielded me from punishment just as the Bible states:

It is by the name of Jesus Christ…salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:10-12).

My dear reader, you need to drink from the well of God’s grace so your soul can be satisfied. Then you will experience an unimaginable peace fill your innermost being.

God knocks softly on the door of your heart. If you were to ask me, “Samy, how do you know?” I would answer, that he knocked on the door of my heart years ago and I invited Him in. I have not been the same since.  Jesus said,

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in” (Revelation 3:20).

Can you hear Him knocking? He desires to have a personal relationship with you. Will you open the door for Him by faith and allow Him to enter your life and be your Lord and Friend? If your answer is yes, this will be the best decision you will ever make in your life. God is inviting you to depend on His grace, mercy, and love.

This is an excerpt from Samy Tanagho’s book, “The True Love”.
