In spite of any intentional or unintentional mistakes you have made, God is greater than a person’s foolishness, weaknesses, failures, sins, hang-ups, or regrets.
Even if you are doing wrong right now, such as lying, stealing, cheating, using drugs, or living an immoral lifestyle, God wants you to know that he will not give up on you. If you feel shameful as a result of a failure, your failure is not greater than God’s power to give you success.
God still loves you and desires to forgive you. He wants to embrace you and cover you with His love, grace, and favor. He wants to give you a new life, a fresh start, and set your feet in the right direction.
O Lord, You are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help. (Psalm 86:5).
My friend, please consider the heart God has for you. The following passage presents a glimpse of His love. Jesus said,
What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine (secure sheep) on the hills and go to look for the one that has wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one (lost) sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any …should be lost (Matthew 18:12-14).
Jesus tells this story to help us understand that when we are lost, God will relentlessly pursue us because He cares for us.
