The Crown, a show created by Peter Morgan first streamed on Netflix November 2016. Season one focused on the young Queen Elizabeth II as she was tasked with leading the most famous monarchy in human civilization. The show broke records with the massive budget, and received raving reviews from critics and audiences alike. There was no surprise when Netflix announced they would be producing a second season.
