We’ve all fallen short of God’s glory!
Today’s culture seems to agree that there are “good” people and “bad” people, but they’re not sure what defines the two. Are people good if they simply abstain from heinous crimes like murder and rape? Are people good if their good deeds outweigh the things they’ve done wrong? Are any people good?
Jefferson Bethke, a YouTuber, hits the nail on the head in his new video ‘What if Good People Need Saving Too?’ The fact is, the line between good people and bad people in our world is imaginary. The only barrier that really matters is the barrier between humanity and God. If we measure ourselves by God’s standard of perfection, we’ve all failed. We’ve all fallen short of God’s glory.
So what are we to do? We need to seek after Jesus. Only when we put our faith in the one “good” man can we truly be right with God. Also, the knowledge that we’re all sinful should give Christians a spirit of humility when pointing others to Christ.
