Joni Eareckson is a renowned speaker, author, and painter with an amazing testimony! After diving into a shallow lake as a teenager, she became paralyzed from the shoulders down. Though she dealt with much anger and depression during the first year after the accident, the experience ultimately drew her nearer to her Creator and gave her a better understanding of God’s mercy and compassion. She also learned to be an expert painter, using her mouth to hold the brush.
