In the video below, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi talks about how Christians should respond when healing doesn’t come.
At the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, a woman who had Multiple Sclerosis asked why, after she asked God to heal her, she grew steadily worse in her sickness. Nabeel Qureshi gave an amazing response. First, he talked about how through her pain she is able to appreciate life more than those who are well. She is able to notice the things in life most people take for granted. Second, he reminded her that God is not aloof from her pain. In fact, He entered into it when Jesus walked this earth and was crucified on a cross. God cares about us beyond our understanding.
This video is also very touching because of the recent death of Dr. Nabeel Qureshi. After battling with stomach cancer, Nabeel was taken up to heaven to be with Jesus late last year (September 16, 2017). He stayed strong in the faith to the end, urging Christians to act in love towards all people. He’s made such an amazing impact on people – Muslims and Christians alike.
Nabeel was a great man, and he is sorely missed. However, we can take solace that his legacy lives on in the lives he impacted, and he’s in paradise now! The question is, who will be the next Nabeel Qureshi? Who will be the next Billy Graham?
