There’s a clear difference between Christianity and the other religions in the world. In fact, they’re so different that there’s been a movement in the past few years to stop calling Christianity a religion at all. There’s a very good reason for this.
See, religion, in the modern view of it, is exactly the opposite of everything Jesus stood for. Religion is about mankind trying to find God. Christianity, on the other hand, celebrates the fact that Jesus found us. Religion is all about trying to earn God’s favor through works and sacraments. Christianity is all about faith in Christ. It’s about a relationship with our creator. There is no religion in the world like Christianity in those ways.

Interestingly, Jesus Himself denounced pharisaical religion.
