The official trailer was released recently for Pure Flix’s ‘Little Women‘ movie!
The beloved novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott has already received a number of film adaptation over the years. The most popular movie based on the book is the 1994 version, starring Winona Ryder and Christian Bale. More recently, a TV series was made based on the story. But what makes this version different? A lot of things.
First of all, Pure Flix is distributing the film. The company was behind the hit God’s Not Dead series, as well as a number of other family-friendly titles such as Woodlawn, Mom’s Night Out, and The Case for Christ. Because of this, we can be confident that this adaptation will be appropriate for the whole family and respect the Christian faith (unlike the announced Greta Gerwig movie of the same name).
Second, this is a modern take on the classic tale with the same style and charm of the 1994 version. Who knows, maybe Joe will type on a computer instead of writing by hand… but that would ruin the paper burning scene. However they handle the adjustments, the movie is sure to be a keeper!
