Watch the official trailer for the new ‘Running for Grace‘ Jim Caviezel movie!
The synopsis for the film is as follows:
A timeless tale that takes place against the backdrop of the segregated coffee fields in 1920s Hawaii – a coming-of-age journey about a young man who transcends the boundaries of race and class in pursuit of a forbidden love.
The movie begins with a white doctor arriving in a Hawaiian village. A young mixed-race boy develops a relationship with the man as a runner to transport medicine. One day, the boy meets a plantation-owner’s daughter on one of his errands, and they soon fall in love. The movie is about the power of love to survive and even deepen when challenged by class and racial pressures. It was released earlier this year, but according to Fandango it will be released again this month.
Running for Grace is produced by Blue Fox entertainment, directed by David L. Cunningham, and stars Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) and Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, Paul: Apostle of Christ). The release date is set for August 17th.
